Updated Equipment Policy: Effective Spring 2019
Our goal with the youth lacrosse program in Brighton is to introduce as many kids to the sport of lacrosse by keeping our registration costs low and offering the opportunity to borrow equipment. Through our annual fundraiser and generousness donations from the community we purchase and maintain equipment to offer to new players. The Brighton program has experienced significant growth in enrollment which has increased the demand on the equipment that we have available to loan out. We have reached a point where we need to adjust the policy as we only have a limited number of helmets. The equipment is intended for players that are new to lacrosse and we encourage players to purchase their own equipment once they have a sustained interest in the Brighton lacrosse program.
K-2nd Grade: Equipment will be offered to all players.
3rd - 6th Grade: Players that have participate in the youth program for more than two years are expected to provide their own equipment.
A $100 deposit check is required at time of equipment pick up.
*Accommodations will be made for families that have financial concerns.
Please reach out to your coaches should you have any questions about equipment. There are a number of options for finding discounted equipment which include Play-It-Again, Craigslist, EBay, and Sideline Swap. We will be bringing in representatives from the equipment companies to one of our practices this fall.
